Cooking with your own personal chef

Waltham, MA—Maureen Tacelli’s kitchen in her Wayland home is like many others in the suburbs – her children’s artwork decorates the walls, the window ledge over the double-basin sink is piled with odds and ends and the dog’s dining area is tucked in the corner.

However, for a couple hours each week, the Tacellis’ kitchen is turned into a makeshift cooking classroom, complete with the gourmet chef donning the white coat and striped pants.

Waltham resident German Lam has previously created and prepared entrees for the Ritz Carlton, Chatham Bars Inn and Harvard Club of Boston.

Now, stepping away from the hustle and bustle of an upscale restaurant, Lam is bringing his cooking skills into other homes and is trying to revitalize the art of homemade meals.
