Chef German Lam of Waltham led the workshop, “Bon Appetit! Discovering your Inner Chef,” which focused on preparing simple meals.
For breakfast, the group made a yogurt parfait. Participants, some wearing chef hats, started with a cup of yogurt and then added granola, honey and fruit. “It was simple,” Lam said. “It was quick.”
The same went for the lunch meal – a southwestern turkey pita sandwich. The group started with the pita and added turkey, cheese, lettuce and salsa. Lam suggested adding other ingredients at home if they want.
