|Boston, MA- October 9, 2013 – National employee benefits specialist Marsh & McLennan Agency has teamed up with Vitasoy and Glam Foods to coordinate a three part healthy cooking series for Vitasoy employees.Faced with separate goals of promoting healthy living, bolstering company morale, and marketing their products to their employees, the Vitasoy HR team paired with Marsh & McLennan Agency to create a culinary bootcamp to inspire employees in the art of healthy cooking. Award winning chef and celebrated ‘food coach’ Chef German Lam has been brought in to lead the three part series. The cutting edge culinary presentations use cooking to build teamwork and promote ‘clean’ eating at work and home.Chef Lam promotes ‘free style cooking’, which allows for improvisation and healthy meals even when there is little time to prepare. Embracing the flavors and changing in and out a few key ingredients, students learn the confidence and skills they need to prepare healthy meals continuously, beyond the recipes learned in class. This program is a fine example of how management teams are thinking outside the box, making the investment to empower individuals and teams to embrace clean eating and healthy cooking. To quote Chef Lam, “Cleaning the heart with clean food” and “Fueling the Ferrari” are just ways he teaches students on how to fuel up for a healthy lifestyle at the work place and home.Human Resources Director, Annemarie Abdo, says feedback from the employee base has been great. “This is an excellent series to teach our employees the importance of healthy eating with dynamic recipes that inspire employees to think out of the box with their cooking skills. “For more information on Vitasoy products, visit www.vitasoy.com.
